Conferences and Meetings.

The programmes of the Conferences and their subjects were agreed with the WHO Headquarters in Geneva. (A.S. Tiganov).

In April 2001, in Moscow a grand meeting was convened, dedicated to the International day of Mental Health. The meeting was organized by WHO, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and by the Russian Society of Psychiatrists. The WHO was represented by the WHO director-general in Russia, Dr. Vienomen.

April 10, 2001 was marked by a joint conference of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences dedicated to Mental Health Day.

May29, 2001 in Moscow - there was a scientific conference of young scientists devoted to Mental Health Day. (The Korsakoff Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry 2001, 101, N 7, p. 13).

April 24, 2001 in Moscow in the Mental Health Research Center a conference was held, devoted to Mental Health day. The main topic of the conference was "Contemporary state in the Teaching (school) of endogenous psychoses. The Problem of Schizophrenia".(The Korsakoff Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry. 2001, 101, 8, 34).

April 24, 2001 Scientific symposium in the framework of the Mental Health Day. "A New Era in the Antipsychotic Treatment"(The Korsakoff Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry, 2001, 101, 101, 8, 34).

October 24, 2001. A conference in the Mental Health Research Center "Problems of Late Dementia due to Modern Achievements of Neuroscience". The conference was devoted to Mental Health Day.
